„The apartment we had was very spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. The house was always clean and well presented, with a garden to sit in or a shaded patio to shelter from the sun. Our view across the lake was lovely and the balcony equipped with chairs and table so that we could enjoy our meals looking over the lake and mountains. The family Heistracher that own the house were friendly and welcoming and spoke enough English to answer any questions. We made the booking via e-mail and telephone, and no payment was required until we arrived. For those who enjoy quiet holidays this destination is highly recommended. The whole village was clean and tidy with flowers everywhere. The lake is great for swimming and boating and there are boat trips to the two islands on a regular basis. Bicycles are available to hire, there is a good bus service to other villages and there is a good train service from nearby Prien. Nightlife consists of relaxing over a meal and a few beers in the restaurants looking over the lake! All in all a relaxing holiday.“

“ChiemseeStern is owned and operated by the Heistracher family. They are pleasant, helpful, acomodating, and very knowledgeable of the beautiful area and attractions in and around Cheimsee. The apartment was the best we have ever occupied, clean, very comfortable, modern and with a view of the lake and mountains that was nothing but spectacular. We are looking forward to visiting there again in the fall to add a side trip to Oktoberfest in nearby Munich. We fell in love with the local people who are warm and friendly. The Heistrachersserve a wonderful German style breakfast each morning and always greet you and offer to make your stay as good as it can possibily be. They made our visit a warm, pleasant experience that we will never forget. I will be taking sailing lessons so we can rent one of their several available sailboats, and sail the large and beautiful Lake Cheimsee.
